Literature (Dorsey, Avery et al, Frand & Hixon) suggests that self-management is an important component of Personal Knowledge Management. Akin to self-management is the concept of behavioral self-regulation: setting goals, monitoring performance, evaluating and refining approach. What is the role of self-regulation in PKM? What is the correlation between one's ability to self-regulate and successfully practice PKM? Can the strength of one's ability to self-regulate be, in any way, a predictor of PKM success?
